Xiaomi Redmi TENAA 2 Pro Notes Certified by: Retro Metal and Fingerprint Scanner

We’re back speaking of Xiaomi Redmi Pro 2 Notes, the “refresh” of the bestseller Redmi Note 2 of which had already appeared for some time the first photos and specifications. The Pro version has recently been certified by TENAA, confirming the photos that were leaked in October, fingerprint scanners and metal back cover (the real novelty of the device).

In terms of specifications, the device should be a substantially similar version at Redmi Note 2; the real differences lie in the metal construction and the new fingerprint scanners, positioned as you can see on the back cover under the camera. In other words, the device would be composed of:

  • 5 display “FHD 1080 p
  • SOC MediaTek Helio X 10 MT 6795, octa-core at 2.0 GHz
  • 2 GB RAM
  • 16 GB of internal storage
  • 13 main camera MP
  • Front camera 5 MP
  • 3000 mAh battery
  • Size: 75.96 x 8.75 x 149.98 mm

It is rumored that should be also available a version with 1 GB of RAM, although it is unclear if, as is usually the case, will also increase the internal storage. The device seems a tiny bit thicker than 2 Notes Redmi, probably because of the materials and fingerprint scanner, but it comes to fractions of a millimeter: could simply be a measuring inaccuracy, or transcript (not a novelty when it comes to TENAA). Among other things, the operating system on board isAndroid 5.0.1, other given little credibility: we expect at least 5.1.1, if not directly Marshmallow.

Xiaomi Redmi Pro 2 Notes should be sold around 1099 renmimbi, to Exchange approximately160 €. In theory the presentation should follow to wheel certification, but we have seen that in China is not always granted.
