Huawei presented the new smartphone Ascend P6 in London last Tuesday. It should be the thinnest Smartphone of previously manufactured according to manufacturer’s instructions: 6.18 mm and weighing in at 120 grams.
The Ascend P6 will come perhaps from the end of July on the market and should cost about 449 euros. The P6 has provided Huawei with a shell made of metal, which gives a high quality look. In addition to a 4.7-inch display with 720 p resolution, the new showpiece by Huawei will have a quad core processor with 1,5 GHz and two gigabytes of RAM, still lacks support for LTE, what could change in the future but. The device has two cameras to eight and five Megapixels of resolution.
Huawei relies on Google’s Android “Jelly Bean” and the EmotionUI interface, which has been developed by Huawei. EmotionUI offers numerous app to the individual design of the scheme and the use of various cloud providers. Huawei places value also on the topic of security, in the Ascend P6 a number of security features will be integrated, such as, for example, a theft protection.
First Huawei Smartphone for the upper class
The idea of the new leader took place before media representatives in London. Huawei had introduced new types of smartphones mostly at international conferences and other events in the past. A novelty for the Chinese group, which apparently would like to highlight the particular his achievement with this separate idea is that an own event is dedicated to the Ascend P6.
Huawei had rather put on like-equipped smartphones for the mass market in the past, the equipment cost rarely over 200 euro. The reversal of the trend of the Ascend P6 449 euros as the manufacturer’s recommended price now shows towards the upper-class competitors, Apple and Samsung. That Huawei integrates a theft protection, can easily be read as a clear sign that the Group would meet the relevant current trends. It will show how happy the buyer will take on the P6 in Europe, Asia and America, when it comes on the market in the summer. The market launch is planned for selected countries such as China and Germany, other countries follow.
