Despite the fact that yesterday I reported that Android 5.1.1 version reaching Nexus Player finally found that the version of Android Lolipop 5.1.1 final you will reach the majority of Nexus devices.
It is not a Update with major enhancements or new features, but rather an update of solves bugs and promises to improve the performance of the devices. Now well,?What are the enhancements?
Android 5.1.1 available
The new version, as we can read on the website of AOSP has a changelog of improvements but rather a small note that makes it clear that it is a “bugfix release” and that we hope to solve the problems of memory located and tested Android 5.1.
The new version is available well via AOSP and also via the Android for Nexus download page, according to changes in detail since the 5.1.0 to 5.1.1 the devices can see them in the changelog, but I anticipate that they will not surprise anyone:

Update or wait?
As you know there is a small time delay between that out update, as it is the case, and which comes to devices via OTA.
There is in fact also the problem that if you’ve rooted your device some OTAs won’t you chip. It is here where We recommend you wait, Since it is one minor update and today only we could test the new version, installing the images of each terminal factory. This step involves the formatting of the terminal and start from scratch.
In what files are available OTA, things change and you will be informed at that time. If there are any brave who want to try the new version 5.1.1 Android, and we repeat, you don’t reformat the terminal:
- Install Android SDK and drivers, according to terminal
- Save the .tgz in the Android SDK Platform-tools folder
- Connect the device to the computer
- Turn off the phone and turn it on at the same time hold volume up + volume down + Power to enter the bootloader
- Enter the Recovery mode with the help of keys volume to change option and the Power button to access
- When it appears an icon with an exclamation point press volume up + Power at the same time.
- Extract the .tgz Android 5.1.1 for our device image on the computer
- From a terminal or computer command line to execute the script flash-all.
We will inform you when the rest of images as well as also the OTA of the new version available:
